Time: 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM CDT
Event Description:

Madeline Island Museum

Speaker: Margie Menzies, Director of Education, Hawk Ridge Observatory, Duluth MN

Program: Hawk Ridge Bird Observatory is counting, banding and educating about migratory birds in one of the largest flyways in North America.
At least 60% of migratory birds in North America use this flyway. Both fall and spring migrants are counted with a yearly average of 90,000 raptors, as well as hundreds of thousands of other birds.

Join us to learn what nearly 50 years of counting and research have taught us.
This will be a fun look at everything Hawk Ridge, as we compare fall and spring counts, talk bird trends, past and present, show you talons and wings, and inspire you to keep learning more about these amazing creatures.
