Name: Photographing The Apostle Islands With Craig Blacklock
Date: August 18, 2014 - August 22, 2014
Devil's Island Sea Caves by Craig Blacklock
Event Description:

This workshop is open to photographers with a working understanding of their camera settings and a beginning knowledge of how to edit photos in Adobe Photoshop or Lightroom.

Join master photographer Craig Blacklock , for a series of unforgettable photo outings.  Canoeing in Madeline Island’s Big Bay Lagoon, with its tiny islands of bonsai-like tamarack and pine rising from the early morning fog—loons, sandhill cranes, turtles and geese are never far away.  Macro photographers will enjoy exotic island plant life that includes sundew, pitcher plants and mushrooms.

The highlight excursion of the week is a sunset boat cruise through the Apostle Islands to Devil’s Island, site of some of the best sea caves in the world.

Throughout the week, sharpen your compositional skills with group critiques and personal time with Craig, while you edit and print your images in our studio.

Craig Blacklock is one of the most knowledgeable Lake Superior photographers in the country, and has published more than 17 books on Lake Superior and the Apostle Islands.

“I’ve designed this workshop to have the same intensity and flexibility as my own personal photography excursions.”  -Craig Blacklock
