The Penderecki String Quartet, described by Fanfare Magazine as being “an ensemble of formidable power and keen musical sensitivity,” will be performing at the Clubhouse on Madeline Island as part of the Madeline Island Music Camp Chamber Music Festival. Their program will include Beethoven’s Op. 18, No. 3; Penderecki’s Quartet No. 3, “Leaves from an Unwritten Diary;” Smetana’s Quartet in E minor, No. 1, “From My Life;” and Penderecki’s Quartet No. 2.
