Name: The Value Of Watercolor
Date: August 4, 2014 - August 8, 2014
Roadside Repairs by Andy Evansen
Event Description:

This watercolor workshop is for artists of all levels.

There seems to be a never-ending quest for watercolor painters to ‘loosen up’!  To paint loosely you have to have confidence in your abilities and a willingness to let go of details.  In this workshop, you’ll learn how to simplify the scene into larger shapes so you can paint more boldly.

The importance of identifying the correct values in a scene, and then implementing it in your paintings will be emphasized throughout the class.

Andy will complete at least one demonstration painting each day, and will cover topics including drawing, skies, trees, buildings, water, and figures.  By the end of the class, you will have enough information to help you on your path to painting impressionistic watercolors.
