About
Madeline Island Golf Club is on the largest of Lake Superior’s 23 Apostle Islands – located a short 20 minute ferry ride from Bayfield, WI, and just 85 miles east of Duluth, MN. Nestled amidst a beautiful forest teeming with wildlife, the 18-hole course features huge double greens and rolling topography, with seven holes overlooking the Lake. Robert Trent Jones, Sr., fashioned the design with interesting holes like 6/15 which share a fairway but split off into doglegs in opposite directions. The course, playing 6,046 yards from the white tees with a 119 slope, will delight novice players yet challenge those more skilled to interpret the refinements of this unique design. Public play is permitted.
